Pastor Derrick was born in Alabama and believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ during a Vacation Bible School at his home church, First Baptist Church, Sylacauga, AL. While pursuing a career in the physical sciences, Pastor Derrick received his call to ministry and moved to Louisville, KY, to attend Southern Seminary (M.Div., 2006). Pastor Derrick pastored a Southern Baptist church in Southwestern Indiana for 8 years and has been the senior pastor at Kings since 2015. Pastor Derrick is married to Dawn, and they have 3 children.

Pastor Jarrad grew up in Spencer County all of his life, and believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ under the discipleship of his great grandmother and the local church. Through using his musical abilities to serve a local church temporarily, Pastor Jarrad received his call to ministry. Pastor Jarrad served as the music minister at a sister Southern Baptist church for 6 years and has been the worship pastor at Kings since 2016. Pastor Jarrad earned his M.A. (2019) from Southern Seminary. He is married to Alexandrea, and they have 5 children.
